Our story started with a simple craving. When we moved from New Jersey to Bluffton, South Carolina, we quickly fell in love with everything the Lowcountry has to offer—the beautiful weather, welcoming community, coastal lifestyle, and relaxed pace of life. But there was one thing we couldn't find: a truly authentic New York bagel.
Back home, bagels weren't just breakfast—they were a daily ritual. The crisp, golden crust, the perfectly chewy center, the fresh cream cheese, and the stacked breakfast sandwiches were part of everyday life. After moving to the Lowcountry, we found ourselves constantly searching for the kind of New York bagels we grew up eating.
As we talked with neighbors, visitors, and fellow transplants from New York and New Jersey, we realized we weren't alone. Time and again, we heard the same thing: "I wish I could find a real New York bagel in Bluffton or Hilton Head." That's when the idea for nosh NY bagels was born.
Today, nosh NY bagels proudly serves authentic New York-style bagels, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, fresh coffee, cream cheese spreads, lox, and classic New York deli favorites to guests from Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Okatie, Ridgeland, and beyond. Whether you're a longtime local, a seasonal visitor, or a fellow Northeast transplant, our goal is simple: bring the taste of New York to the Lowcountry.
